The Lab

ReGen Medical uses a state of the art cellular lab, located within the facility, to process lipoaspirate–the fat tissue sample collected for use in SVF cellular therapy–to isolate the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cells using a patented process. It uses ultrasonic cavitation, a method of harnessing sound waves, to liquefy the sample safely and without damaging the viable stem cells. Unlike most companies, it uses a specialized piece of equipment, the flow cytometer, to check each sample for cell viability and the cell count for each patient. The entire lab process takes about 1 hour to complete, so we have the ability to administer SVF cellular therapy treatments in a same-day procedure.

Standard Operation Procedures and Good Tissue Practices

The lab is FDA registered and inspected and complies to current Good Tissue Practice (cGTP) for the manufacture of human cellular products. This means that the lab conforms to federal requirements for safe handling and sterility of human tissue and processing of stem cells. The highly trained staff adheres to a patented protocol and standard operating procedures to ensure the lab is free from dust, bacteria and fungal contamination, and the product is sterile and traceable. This makes our SVF cell therapy treatments appropriate for immediate clinical application and overall safer for patients.
